assault
- physical and emotional reactions and common concerns of survivors and their significant others
- crisis intervention counseling skills
- helping children and families in cases of child sexual abuse
- victim advocacy in hospitals and police departments
- working with diverse populations
- and sexual assault prevention

Including the initial volunteer interview and additional practice role-play sessions, the total time commitment you will need to make to the training program is approximately 40 hours. Since this is a challenging volunteer position, we want to provide an extremely thorough training program for you.
Prospective volunteers are expected to attend all training sessions in order
to be prepared for their responsibilities as Victim Advocates.
